A Personal Pitfall of Pinterest

I’m sitting here on a rare Saturday afternoon when I don’t have anywhere I have to be or anything I have to do (lots to do, just not any demands).  I found myself playing on the computer and of course, headed over to Pinterest.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love being on Pinterest!  It has given me so many great ideas for my house, my kids and my business.  However, I’ve also found myself discontent with my underdecorated house, having the feeling of total lack of organization and overwhelmed in the craft store trying to decide what to buy next for all the crafty projects I pinned recently, and confused by what to tackle first!

So, I got to thinking about that problem.  And my thinking led me to the conclusion that I wish Pinterest had some really simple solutions to problems that took only a short time to complete.  Or, I bet there is a business out there for someone to implement the projects chosen on your personal Pinterest page.  Could I delegate my pins??  Think my husband and kids would get on board?

The bottom line probably comes down to my innate ability to start projects and not complete them.  A home organizer once told me I had “completion issues”.  Hmmmm, I think I resemble that remark!  So, I will continue happily Pinning away and hope someday to complete what I have started, try to live in the moment of the dream I am creating and not get caught up in the end result but remember to enjoy the journey along the way.

I think I’m in an overwhelmed and philosophical mood today… anyone else have this quandry with Pinterest?

When I’m not keeping the Nu team in line, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, visiting my parents, and shuttling my son to soccer practice and my daughter to dance class. I love to travel and our family are Road Warriors. We don’t think twice about a 7 hour drive each way – just for a weekend!
