The most obvious visual representation of your company is its logo. Being such an important representation of your products and services, the logo must convey a lot of information in a concise fashion. Of course, both a poorly designed logo and a well designed logo will form an image in the public’s mind of your business.

After all, what does a poor logo say about the company behind the logo? Such lack of quality would indicate to a potential client shortcomings in the ability to make sound business decisions, and perhaps cause doubt in the mind of clients as to the how able you are to effectively handle his or her business. Such observations regarding a company will not lead to the investment of one’s business.

However, consider the other side of the discussion. When smart and thoughtful design is portrayed in your logo, business will be driven toward your company. A quality logo will successfully convey the values possessed by your company. The style and function of your company should be displayed in the logo using font, colors and graphics in manners deemed appropriate.

Of course, the average person is likely not the best candidate to generate his or her own logo. Such a responsibility should be entrusted to a professional graphic design service, like that of Nu expression, as these professionals have studied the elements of art used in the design of logos and consumers’ responses to these various elements.

I’m Jan; I handle the day-to-day duties at Nu expression. While I’ve been with this crew almost a year, I’m a former corporate rat-racer turned entrepreneur – the business I began over eight years ago, Carolina On-Site Fleet Services was bought last year by Gallins Vending. When I’m not keeping the Nu team in line, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family, visiting my parents, and shuttling my son to soccer practice and my daughter to dance class. I love to travel and our family are Road Warriors. We don’t think twice about a 7 hour drive each way – just for a weekend!
